- 2 English muffins
- 2 large eggs
- 2 slices cheese (cheddar, American, or Swiss)
- 2 slices cooked bacon or sausage patty
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Toast the English muffins until golden brown.
- While the muffins are toasting, cook the bacon or sausage patty according to package directions.
- In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Crack the eggs into the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the eggs until your desired doneness (fried or scrambled).
- Place a slice of cheese on top of each egg and let it melt.
- Assemble the sandwiches: place the egg and cheese on the bottom half of each English muffin, top with bacon or sausage, and cover with the other half of the muffin.
Notes
- For a softer yolk, cook the eggs for a shorter time.
- Add your favorite hot sauce for an extra kick.
- You can substitute the cheese with your preferred type.
