Description
Homemade teriyaki sauce for grilling or stir-frying.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup sake
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to your preference.
- Add cornstarch slurry for thicker sauce.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce if desired.
