- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 box (5.1 ounces) dry white or yellow cake mix
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in the thawed whipped topping until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture.
- Stir in the dry cake mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in the sliced fresh strawberries.
- Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- You can use frozen strawberries if you thaw and drain them well before adding.
- For a richer flavor, use cream cheese that has been at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
- If you prefer a firmer texture, chill the salad for up to 4 hours.
