Description

A quick and healthy stir-fry featuring tender asparagus and succulent shrimp, perfect for a weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add asparagus and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Add shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp and asparagus. Stir to coat and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic and ginger.
  • You can substitute broccoli or snap peas for asparagus.
