Description
A simple and flavorful pasta dish featuring sausage with a sticky honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 8 ounces pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, remove sausage from casings and crumble into a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add olive oil and minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey and soy sauce.
- Pour the honey-soy mixture into the skillet. Add butter and stir until melted.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly thickened and sticky.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sausage and sauce. Toss to coat.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use your favorite type of pasta.
- Adjust honey and soy sauce to your preference.
- For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes.
