Description
A recipe for a quick and spicy shredded chicken sandwich coated in buffalo sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 sandwich buns
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 2 tablespoons ranch dressing
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts, buffalo sauce, and water in a slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours, until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken and shred it using two forks.
- Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir in the butter until melted.
- Divide the shredded chicken among the four buns.
- Top each sandwich with one slice of pepper jack cheese.
- Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese melts.
- Top with shredded lettuce and drizzle with ranch dressing before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute blue cheese dressing for ranch if preferred.
- For extra heat, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture before cooking.
