A simple, warm mocktail made with apple cider and spices.
Ingredients

- 4 cups apple cider
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 star anise
- 1 orange, sliced
Instructions
- Combine apple cider, cinnamon stick, cloves, and star anise in a saucepan.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers. Do not boil.
- Reduce heat to low and let it steep for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and discard the whole spices.
- Pour the cider into mugs.
- Garnish each serving with an orange slice.
Notes
- For a stronger spice flavor, steep the spices for up to 30 minutes.
- You can substitute fresh ginger slices for cloves if desired.
