Description

A simple, warm mocktail made with apple cider and spices.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 orange, sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine apple cider, cinnamon stick, cloves, and star anise in a saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers. Do not boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low and let it steep for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and discard the whole spices.
  5. Pour the cider into mugs.
  6. Garnish each serving with an orange slice.

Notes

  • For a stronger spice flavor, steep the spices for up to 30 minutes.
  • You can substitute fresh ginger slices for cloves if desired.
