Description

Crispy baked cauliflower bites coated in a sweet and spicy hot honey glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret first into the wet mixture, letting excess drip off, then dredge thoroughly in the dry flour mixture.
  5. Place the coated florets on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
  7. While the cauliflower bakes, prepare the glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over low heat until warm and well combined. Do not boil.
  8. Remove the baked cauliflower from the oven. Place the hot florets in a large bowl.
  9. Pour the hot honey glaze over the cauliflower and toss gently until all pieces are evenly coated.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can spray the coated florets lightly with cooking spray before the first bake.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level of the glaze.
