- 4 cups sliced ripe bananas (about 4–5 medium)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mash the sliced bananas.
- Stir in the melted butter and granulated sugar into the mashed bananas.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- If using, sprinkle cinnamon and nuts over the top.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
