Quick and easy tacos featuring smashed seasoned chicken breast with classic Caesar salad components.

- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Caesar dressing
- 2 tablespoons croutons, crushed
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes per side until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
- Remove chicken from the skillet and place on a cutting board.
- Using a sturdy spatula or pot bottom, firmly press down on each chicken breast until it is flattened (smashed).
- Return the smashed chicken to the hot skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until slightly crispy.
- Warm tortillas according to package directions.
- Shred or chop the smashed chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Assemble tacos: place chicken onto each tortilla.
- Top the chicken with romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, Caesar dressing, and crushed croutons.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken if you skip the cooking steps and just smash and reheat the meat.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the filling before serving.
