Description
A simple baked bread featuring fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.

- 1 loaf pre-made pizza dough
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced or torn
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired shape, about 1/2 inch thick. Place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the dough surface evenly with olive oil.
- Scatter the minced garlic over the oiled dough.
- Arrange the tomato halves and mozzarella pieces over the dough.
- Sprinkle with dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and slightly bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with fresh chopped basil.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use good quality, fresh mozzarella for the best flavor.
- You can add a drizzle of balsamic glaze after baking for extra tang.
