Description

A traditional French quiche with bacon and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Sprinkle the cooked bacon and shredded cheese evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  7. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute Gruyere cheese for Swiss cheese.
  • For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Ensure the quiche is fully cooled before slicing to prevent it from falling apart.
