- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup finely diced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Pizza sauce for serving
- Additional mozzarella and pepperoni for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, diced pepperoni, shredded mozzarella, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Form the mixture into four equal patties.
- Preheat a grill or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook patties for 4-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) is reached.
- Lightly toast burger buns.
- Assemble burgers: Place a cooked patty on the bottom bun. Top with pizza sauce and additional mozzarella and pepperoni if desired.
- Place the top bun on the burger and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can mix in a tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese with the patty mixture.
- Adjust the amount of pepperoni and mozzarella to your preference.
- These burgers are great served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
