Easy and elegant phyllo bites filled with sweet pepper jelly and creamy cream cheese.

- 1 package (15 count) frozen phyllo dough, thawed
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup pepper jelly
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the thawed phyllo dough. Keep it covered with a damp towel to prevent drying.
- Brush one sheet of phyllo dough with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush with butter. Repeat until you have 3 layers.
- Cut the layered phyllo dough into 4 equal squares.
- Place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese in the center of each phyllo square.
- Top the cream cheese with about 1/2 teaspoon of pepper jelly.
- Bring the corners of the phyllo dough up to meet in the center, gently twisting to enclose the filling.
- Place the bites on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Garnish with chives before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Ensure phyllo dough is completely thawed before use.
- Work with phyllo dough quickly to prevent it from drying out.
- Adjust the amount of pepper jelly to your spice preference.
