- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water

Instructions
- Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water.
- Pour 1/2 cup of the gelatin mixture into a serving dish. Chill until partially set.
- Beat softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently spread cream cheese mixture over the partially set gelatin.
- Pour remaining gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Chill for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
