- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&M’s candies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and peanut butter until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in rolled oats, chocolate chips, and M&M’s candies until evenly distributed.
- Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra chewiness, underbake slightly.
- Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- These bars can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
