Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, cut into fries
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped chives, jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  2. While fries are baking, cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Remove fries from oven. Top with seasoned ground beef and shredded cheeses.
  5. Return to oven for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve immediately with optional toppings.
