Description
A convenient dry mix for making homemade Italian salad dressing. Just add oil and vinegar.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
- Mix well until thoroughly combined.
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
- To make dressing: Whisk 2 tablespoons of dry mix with 1/2 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup red wine vinegar.
- Shake well before each use.
Notes
- Adjust seasonings to your taste.
- This mix can also be used as a seasoning for vegetables or meats.
- For a creamier dressing, add 1-2 tablespoons of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt.
