A classic meatloaf recipe that brings comfort food to your table, inspired by Cracker Barrel’s popular dish.

- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- For the glaze: 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, eggs, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients: 1/2 cup ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.
- Spread half of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the remaining glaze over it.
- Continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can use a mix of ground beef and ground pork.
- Ensure the meatloaf is cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
