Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add marinated chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from the wok.
  4. Add sliced onion to the wok and stir-fry until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Return chicken to the wok. Add black pepper, chicken broth, oyster sauce, and sugar.
  7. Stir well to combine and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Stir in sesame oil. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
