Description

A warm, spiced coffee drink flavored like gingerbread.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons gingerbread syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whipped cream
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. Brew one cup of strong coffee.
  2. Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.
  3. Pour the hot milk and the gingerbread syrup into the brewed coffee. Stir well to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into your favorite mug.
  5. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

Notes

  • You can make your own gingerbread syrup by simmering molasses, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves with water, then straining.
