Description
A warm, spiced beverage made with cranberry and apple juices.
Ingredients

- 6 cups apple cider
- 4 cups cranberry juice
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Combine apple cider, cranberry juice, orange slices, cinnamon stick, whole cloves, and ground allspice in a large saucepan.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers. Do not boil.
- If using, stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
- Reduce heat to low and let it steep for 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Remove the orange slices and cinnamon stick before serving.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a stronger spice flavor, increase the amount of whole cloves slightly.
- You can substitute fresh orange slices with 1/4 cup of orange zest.
