Description
Sweet and spicy pork ribs glazed with a honey jalapeno sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 racks pork spare ribs
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 jalapenos, minced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the thin membrane from the back of each rack of ribs using a paper towel to grip it.
- Combine honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced jalapenos, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. This is your glaze.
- Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with foil. Brush half of the glaze over both sides of the ribs.
- Wrap each rack tightly in aluminum foil.
- Bake for 2.5 hours.
- Carefully unwrap the ribs. Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Brush the remaining glaze over the ribs.
- Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a smokier flavor, you can finish the ribs on a grill for the last 10 minutes instead of baking them uncovered.
- Adjust the number of jalapenos based on your preferred spice level.
