Description
A quick and flavorful one-pan meal featuring shrimp, sausage, and broccoli coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Return the sausage to the skillet. Add the shrimp and pour the sauce over everything.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring often, until the shrimp is pink and cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use pre-cooked sausage for faster preparation.
- For a thicker sauce, let it simmer for an extra minute or two before adding the shrimp.
- Serve this dish over rice or noodles if desired.
