Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Stir in the flour until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
