Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked pasta or rice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  5. Pour in diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Stir in cooked pasta or rice and heat through.
  8. Serve hot.
