- 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1.5 cups raisins
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the rolled oats and raisins until evenly distributed.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For chewier bars, do not overbake.
- You can add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
- Store cooled bars in an airtight container at room temperature.
