A simple recipe for savory sausage bites served over rich, creamy Parmesan pasta.
Ingredients

- 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 pound pasta (fettuccine or penne recommended)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup pasta water, reserved
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the cooking water before draining.
- While the pasta cooks, cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon until fully browned. Drain off excess grease.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Let it simmer gently for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and melted. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat everything evenly with the sauce and sausage.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- You can use sweet or hot Italian sausage based on your preference.
- For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese instead of pre-shredded.
