Description
A simple recipe for tender steak coated in a rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lb sirloin steak
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides evenly with salt and pepper.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it foams.
- Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board.
- Reduce the heat to low. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic to the same skillet. Cook for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the chopped parsley.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain.
- Spoon the garlic butter sauce from the skillet over the sliced steak.
Notes
- For best results, let the steak come close to room temperature before cooking.
- Use a heavy-bottomed skillet for even heat distribution.
