Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small apple, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  2. Slice the baguette diagonally into half-inch thick pieces.
  3. Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with olive oil.
  4. Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until lightly golden and crisp.
  6. Remove the crostini from the oven.
  7. Spread a small amount of softened goat cheese on each warm crostini.
  8. Top each with a few thin apple slices.
