Ingredients

- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup eggnog
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Combine milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a small saucepan.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking constantly until it is hot and the sugar dissolves. Do not boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Whisk in the eggnog.
- Pour the mixture into mugs.
- Top with whipped cream, if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk.
- You can substitute store-bought eggnog for homemade.
