A simple recipe for a warm, spiced apple chai latte.

- 1 cup strong brewed chai tea
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tablespoons apple butter or apple sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Brew one cup of strong chai tea and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the milk, apple butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Heat the milk mixture over medium heat until warm and steaming, whisking gently to dissolve the apple butter. Do not boil.
- Pour the brewed chai tea into a mug.
- Pour the warm spiced milk mixture over the tea.
- Stir well before drinking.
Notes
- For a frothier drink, use a milk frother on the heated milk mixture before adding it to the tea.
- Use your favorite type of milk, such as almond, oat, or whole milk.
