- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Crushed candy canes (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Brew one cup of strong coffee and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the milk, chocolate syrup, and sugar.
- Heat the milk mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the peppermint extract.
- Pour the hot coffee into a mug.
- Pour the hot peppermint chocolate milk mixture over the coffee.
- Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes, if desired.
Notes
- Use dark chocolate syrup for a richer flavor.
- If you prefer a colder drink, use cold milk and strong cold brew coffee, then skip the heating step.
- Adjust the amount of peppermint extract based on how strong you want the mint flavor.
