- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1–2 Serrano peppers, minced (adjust to your spice preference)
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
- Mash the avocado flesh with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Add the chopped red onion, minced Serrano peppers, chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve immediately with your favorite tortilla chips or as a topping.
Notes
- For a creamier guacamole, mash the avocados less.
- For a chunkier guacamole, mash the avocados more.
- If you don’t have Serrano peppers, jalapeños can be used as a substitute.
- To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before storing.
