Description

A simple and delicious recipe for homemade guacamole, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 12 Serrano peppers, minced (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado flesh with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency.
  3. Add the chopped red onion, minced Serrano peppers, chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  4. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite tortilla chips or as a topping.

Notes

  • For a creamier guacamole, mash the avocados less.
  • For a chunkier guacamole, mash the avocados more.
  • If you don’t have Serrano peppers, jalapeños can be used as a substitute.
  • To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before storing.
