Quick and easy beef and broccoli stir-fry recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove beef from skillet.
  4. Add garlic and ginger to skillet and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  5. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce, beef broth, honey, and rice vinegar.
  7. Pour sauce over broccoli and bring to a simmer.
  8. Return beef to skillet and stir to coat.
  9. Cook for 1-2 minutes until beef is heated through and sauce has thickened.
  10. Serve immediately over cooked rice.

Notes

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan when cooking beef. Cook in batches if necessary.
