- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a slow cooker.
- Arrange the thinly sliced onion over the top of the meatloaf.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese over the meatloaf.
- Cover and continue cooking until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Carefully remove the meatloaf from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

- For best results, use lean ground beef to prevent excess grease.
