- 2 large yellow onions, sliced into 1/4-inch rings
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch

- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Separate the onion rings.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and egg.
- Dip each onion ring into the milk and egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry the onion rings in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pot, for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove onion rings with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot.
