- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- While spaghetti cooks, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving bacon fat in the skillet.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
- Add cooked and drained spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce.
- Add reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until the sauce coats the spaghetti.
- Stir in cooked bacon.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use good quality bacon for best flavor.
- Adjust the amount of heavy cream to your desired sauce consistency.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese melts better and has more flavor.
