- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 1 (15 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
- 1 (3 ounce) package fruit-flavored gelatin (any flavor)
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until well combined.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup cold water. Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Heat gelatin mixture in microwave for 30 seconds, or until dissolved. Stir into cream cheese mixture.
- Fold in drained fruit cocktail. Pour into a 9×13 inch pan. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until set.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve fruit-flavored gelatin in 1 cup boiling water.
- Let cool to room temperature.
- Pour cooled fruit-flavored gelatin over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- For best results, make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature before beating.
- Ensure the fruit-flavored gelatin is completely cooled before pouring it over the cream cheese layer to prevent melting.
