Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in the milk and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Stir in the mini chocolate chips by hand.
  6. Roll the dough into small, one-inch balls.
  7. Place the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • To heat-treat the flour, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes, then cool completely before using.
