- Toasted coconut flakes for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Combine coconut milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and coconut caramel sauce.
- Pour the hot chocolate into mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes if desired.
Notes
- For a thicker drink, reduce the coconut milk slightly before starting.
- Use a high-quality cocoa powder for better flavor.
