Description
A rich chocolate cake flavored with coffee, baked in a Bundt pan.

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot strong brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for two minutes.
- Carefully stir in the hot coffee until the batter is smooth. The batter will be thin.
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use strong brewed coffee or espresso for the best mocha flavor.
- Buttermilk adds moisture; do not substitute with regular milk if possible.
