- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 (18.25 ounce) box devil’s food cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cherry pie filling. Do not mix.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
- If using, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- You can substitute other fruit pie fillings like blueberry or peach.
