Description
Simple recipe for baked appetizer sticks filled with taco meat and cheese.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Lay a tortilla flat. Sprinkle one edge with a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cooled taco meat mixture over the cheese.
- Fold the tortilla over the filling to create a log shape. Press the edges firmly to seal.
- Place the sealed stick seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Cut each log into 3 or 4 pieces before serving.
Notes
- Serve with salsa or sour cream for dipping.
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
