- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 30 ounces frozen potato bites (such as Tater Tots)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, black olives
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain off excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spread frozen potato bites in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
- Place baked potato bites in a large oven-safe dish.
- Spoon the taco meat mixture over the potato bites.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the meat.
- Bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately with your desired toppings.
