Description

A simple recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich wrapped inside a burrito shell, creating a rich, cheesy filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Place two slices of American cheese on one tortilla. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese and the remaining two slices of American cheese. Place the second tortilla on top.
  2. Spread butter evenly on the outside of the top tortilla.
  3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwich in the skillet, butter-side down.
  4. Butter the top side of the sandwich.
  5. Grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  6. Remove from heat and let it rest for one minute before slicing in half.

Notes

  • Use your favorite type of cheese for a different flavor profile.
  • For extra crispiness, cook over slightly lower heat for a longer time.
