Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle slices, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain off excess fat.
  3. Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Press the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Spread half of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  6. Spoon the ground beef mixture over the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped dill pickles over the beef mixture.
  8. Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
