Description
A simple casserole combining ground beef, cheese, and french fries for a hearty meal.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups frozen french fries
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder into the skillet. Cook until heated through.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen french fries over the top of the beef mixture.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the french fries.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of celery soup for cream of mushroom soup if you prefer.
- For a richer flavor, add 1/2 cup of ketchup or mustard to the beef mixture before spreading it in the dish.
