Description
Sweet and tender carrots coated in a simple glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cook carrots in boiling water until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Drain carrots and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in brown sugar, water, and salt.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add carrots to the skillet and stir to coat.
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until glazed.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
- These carrots can be made ahead of time and reheated.
