Description

A quick and easy recipe for deconstructed cheeseburger bowls.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons mustard

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Form the mixture into four equal patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until done to your preference.
  5. Place one slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  6. Divide lettuce, tomato, and onion among four serving bowls.
  7. Place one cheeseburger patty on top of the vegetables in each bowl.
  8. Top each bowl with ketchup and mustard.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
  • Use your favorite cheese instead of cheddar.
  • Add pickles or bacon bits for extra flavor.
